Dear Parents!Vilnius Montessori pre-School is welcoming your child/children to join us for a week of Montessori classes. Children aged two-and-a-half through six are welcome.
The classes will take place from Wednesday, Aug 25th - Tuesday, Aug 31st every morning from 9-11 am.
The attendance in the week of Aug 25th - 31st is free of charge.
Children that are interested in attending the Vilnius Montessori pre-School trial week are requested to please e-mail or call to register.

o a parent who wants to give your child an English language head start in school
o a parent who recognises the value of the internationally acclaimed Montessori teaching method
o anybody interested in learning about the Montessori method
At Vilnius Montessori pre-School, five distinct areas constitute the prepared environment:
o Practical Life enhances the development of task organization and cognitive order.
o The Sensorial area enables the child to order, classify, and describe sensory impressions in relation to length, width, temperature, mass, colour, pitch, etc.
o Mathematics makes use of manipulative materials to enable the child to internalize concepts of number, symbol, sequence, operations, and memorization of basic facts.
o Language Arts includes oral language development, written expression, reading booklets, and the study of grammar.
o Cultural activities expose the child to basics in geography, history, and life sciences. Music, sports, art, and movement education are part of the integrated cultural curriculum.
Our important task is to provide students with an early and general foundation that includes a positive attitude toward school, inner security and a sense of order, abiding curiosity, a habit of concentration, habits of initiative and persistence, the ability to make decisions, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility to other members of the class, school, and community. This foundation will enable them to acquire more specialized knowledge and skills throughout their school career.
